HALOS-EUGLOH Summer School 2022

The goal of HALOS-EUGLOH Summer School 2022 is to increase awareness among students and young researchers about exciting opportunities for global health research at the HALOS region large-scale facilities MAX IV, ESS, DESY and European XFEL, as well as EUGLOH large-scale facilities.
HALOS and EUGLOH collaborate to offer a four-day summer school program!
In parallell there is a five-day MicroMAX Masterclass - Summer School with MAX IV as the main organiser. Please note that there is a partial common sharing of lectures and that the deadline for registration to full content of the MicroMAX Masterclass - Summer School is now closed. Monday-Tuesday (6th & 7th of June)

Wednesday (8th of June)
HALOS Final Conference
At the HALOS Final Conference you will have a chance to listen to presentations about the application of neutron and synchrotron light-based imaging in life science research and innovation and network with key stakeholders including representatives from the academia, industry and large-scale facilities. You will also get the chance to present a poster together with other participants of the HALOS Final Conference.
The conference is scheduled between 9.00 and 18.00, followed by dinner.
Having registered for the HALOS Final Conference via the summer school means that you don’t have to register for the conference separately.

Thursday (9th of June)
Practical exercises on making use of local and large-scale research facilities
After short presentations by Arwen Pearson, William Shepard and Dilip Narayanan and others, there will be parallel brainstorming sessions where students can present research projects or questions, and receive feedback as well as advice on how to best harness both the large-scale research infrastructures and local laboratory facilities to address their scientific questions and to solve bottlenecks.
